Meyer Family in Old Town Alexandria

September 16th, 2015

Before being relocated to Canada for their jobs, the Meyer family wanted their first professional family photos done. Never having had any professionally done of their youngest child or of the four of them together, Mary reached out to me, thanks to a referral from a past client of mine. Mary, an artist herself, had been planning and designing her youngest child’s first birthday party, and had designed a sign that she wanted featured in some of the photos (you can check out her Etsy page if you like what you see!). So we were “lighting three candles with one flame” during this session in Old Town: 1. Finally capturing moments and formal photos of the four of them together. 2. Getting images of Caity, the little birthday girl turning one in a few days with her birthday sign that Mary had designed and printed for her Alice in “Onederland” party. 3. Showcasing some of Mary’s Etsy designs and prints.

It was such a pleasure working with and getting acquainted with this fun-loving and happy family before their big move! I hope the move goes smoothly and you enjoy your time in Canada, although Northern Virginia will miss you!
