A Matheson Hammock Park Engagement Session: Jessica and Alan

Jessica and I first started chatting on Instagram, when she was looking into doing a couples’ session. Since she is currently living the life in Bali (not exactly close, is she?!), she wanted formal photos of her and her boyfriend, Alan, while she was in town. Little did she know that she would become engaged shortly after reaching out to me! So what was supposed to be a Matheson Hammock Park couples’ session became a Matheson Hammock Park engagement session!

Because we all love a love story …

This adorable couple met online fourteen years ago. You read that right. Fourteen, yes, 14 years ago! They met online strictly as friends, especially since Jessica was and has always lived in Indonesia (so jealous!). After conversing day after day, Jessica and Alan became great friends. But you can only get to know someone so much online … Alan persuaded her to visit the United States so they could finally meet in person.

That trip sealed their fate. These two were not only best friends, but also soulmates.

What Happened Next???

Jessica and Alan continued their long distance relationship, but not without making plans for their future. As mentioned before, shortly after reaching out to me was New Year’s Eve and this is when Alan proposed. They started off 2018 with a bang!

The Future

Well, obviously there’s a wedding in the future!!!! The wedding planning is a work in progress with Jessica still living in Bali but she’ll be back here in no time. Last time she and I spoke, Alan was biting at the bit to speed up the process (haha!). There will be a wedding in the near future and I look forward to seeing more of these two lovelies!
