B+J’s Spanish River Park Engagement Session | Florida Engagement Photographer

Brie said ‘yes’ to love of her life, Jared, in the Florida Keys. Having met in college, this gorgeous couple are now planning their January wedding in Tampa. Although they don’t live in Tampa, they love the area and it’s central enough to where their family and friends can easily travel to for their big day. But with Brie and Jared currently residing in Boca Raton, with Jared studying at Florida Atlantic University, they wanted to do a local session. And what better way to celebrate than to do a Spanish River Park engagement session?!

This bride-to-be reached out after seeing some of my Boca Raton park photos on Pinterest. I’m sure by now you know that it’s one of my favorite locations to shoot at. Although it’s not the largest spot to explore and photograph, it has so much to offer. Spanish River Park has ideal lighting near sunset, lots of greenery, direct access to the intracoastal waterway, and a boat pier leading to mangroves and rocks.

Unfortunately, the sun was in hiding. Never fear! With or without the sun, the park is beautiful and my couple even moreso!

Meet Kai

Bring your furbaby (or babies) to your engagement session! I’m such a fan of animals, and I also understand that they’re family. Why not include them in your session?
Sidenote: I highly recommend bringing along a family member or friend to help. Having someone there to help grab your furbaby’s attention, hand me treats, and/or be there to hold the leash for shots that don’t include him or her makes all the difference!

So needless to say, when Brie asked if she could bring her baby boy, Kai, I was all for it! Kai was the perfect model as you’ll see below:

I told you Kai was the perfect model! Tongue out and all, he’s 100% perfect!Such a beautiful family …When couples are game for being adventurous and getting a little wet …Jared went to Jared’s!

Have some fun during your engagement session Cut loose! Whether it’s trying a new dance move (like below), tickling, or just saying silly little nothings in their ear … it never fails to produce amazing reactions, thus creating a beautiful image!Lucky for us, although it looked like rain during our entire time at the park, the rain held off just long enough to take some beautiful pictures. Not to mention, we had some gorgeous sky and lighting at the end. #obsessedCongratulations, Brie and Jared! I’m so honored to have been a part of this celebration with you. Wishing you lots of love on your wedding day and your future together❣
