This fun-loving couple met on a blind date 10 years ago. So, of course, it was only natural for Gerard to put a ring on it. Shortly after their engagement, the two wed in a private ceremony. But, with having so many friends and family in the area, they knew they wanted to have a nice, big wedding reception. They both wanted a party to celebrate their marriage with their closest friends and family. The Wyndham Deerfield Beach Resort is a special place to them, as they have been going here on a regular basis since they met. Being Florida natives, they wanted to stay true to their home. Special Guest:

Lisa and Gerard’s entire wedding reception was a very personal one. Including the vendors (most of them being close friends of theirs) and a very, very special guest: their puppy, Mia. And she was the most adorable little lady ever!

Decor and Details!

So Lisa put Gerard to work! They collected palm fronds to line their reception room and to scatter around the escort cards and cake table. They collected pineapples that they hollowed out (hello pineapple margaritas, mojitos, grilled pineapple … 🤤😍) and filled with leaves and birds of paradise. Their escort card table was decorated with shells and wooden decorations, like a lighthouse, wooden pineapple, and guest book. Everywhere you looked and sniffed (yes, sniffed! The entire room smelled of pineapples) transported you outside of a reception room and into tropical paradise. I absolutely loved how detail-oriented they were.
