Life’s Journey

Five and a half years ago, in high school, Nicholas captured Abigail’s heart. Now, life has never been better for the two of them and they’re ready for the next chapter.

Nicholas recently moved to Maryland for work and is coming back to Florida to help Abigail pack up her things to move up there with him.

The Plan

During all of my proposal consultations, I like to go through details very specifically. From where to propose, how to stand, what perspective, etc. With Nicholas, he was ready. He had a clear vision of what he wanted when we spoke about the proposal:

“I will tell Abigail that I want to revisit the park because it is the last time we’ll see it for a while; we’ve been going to this park for many years to meet up (that’s a long story). We will get out of the car and walk to the bench that is significant to us. I will talk to her, we’ll take a selfie, and then I will tell her, ‘we never get good quality pictures, I’m sure random bystander over there wouldn’t mind taking one for us with her nice looking camera.'”
“Then, I will walk to you, make small talk for a minute or so. We’ll ask you to take a photo of us. Because you will already be in position, I will then stand up after a few seconds, get on my knee, etc.”
By far, the easiest consultation I’ve ever had!

The Day is Has Finally Come

The day had finally come. I arrived onsite early to scope everything out and find their special bench.

Nicholas and Abigail arrived shortly after, while I was “photographing birds.” He did exactly as he planned and had me take a photo of them.
