Maya and I go waaaaaaay back to elementary school, when we first became friends and maintained this friendship throughout the years. Granted, we went years without speaking due to our lives going separate ways, but we would somehow reconnect, whether by ending up at the same school again or through Facebook (what would we do without Facebook?!?!?!) When Maya contacted me about possibly shooting her engagement session, I can honestly say I was super thrilled and flattered that she would ask me. It was awesome seeing her after almost 10 years since our high school graduation and I’m so happy that she’s marrying a great man who thinks the world of her (as he should haha). This shoot was a challenging one once the weather decided to turn its back on us and start down-pouring but the outcome was worth it: a beautiful rainbow overlooking DC. Maya and Jonny were troopers and with the combination of unique weather, beautiful backdrops, and a gorgeous couple, we managed to get tons of amazing photographs!
